1.Grilled Cod with Miso Sauce
Ingredients:
2 pieces of sliced Cod fillet
2 Lemons
Seasoning:
2 tablespoon of Mirin
1/2 tablespoon of Miso
Shichimi Powder
Directions:
Step 1. Marinate the cod with 2 tablespoon of mirin and 1/2 tablespoon of white miso for about 10 minutes.
Step 2. Cover a baking tray with aluminium foil. Next, spread a little salad oil on the foil and place the marinated cod on top.
Step 3. Preheat the oven to 150°C. Next, place in the cod into the oven and bake for about 10 minutes until it is cooked.
Step 4. When it is done, take out the cod out and sprinkle an appropriate amount of Shichimi powder before serving.
2.Deep Fried Cod
Ingredients:
1 Cod Fish
½ a bowl of Sweet Potato Powder
Seasoning:
A – 1/8 teaspoon of Salt, 1/8 teaspoon of Chicken Seasoning Powder, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper and 1 teaspoon of rice wine
B – 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper respectively.
Directions:
Step 1. Spread the cod fish evenly on both sides and let it stand for 5 minutes.
Step 2. Dip sweet potato powder on both sides of the marinated cod and set aside.
Step 3. Heat a pot of oil to about 150°C, put the cod in the oil pan and fry until golden brown, pick up and drain to serve.
Step 4. Dip in salt and pepper powder when serving.
3.Fried Cod Steak with Spring Onions
Ingredients:
A Cod Fish
Corn flour 50 grams
30 g diced onion
40 g of Diced Red and Yellow Bell Pepper
Seasoning:
2 tablespoon of Shallot Sauce
1/4 teaspoon of Pepper
1/6 teaspoon of Salt
2 tablespoon of Water
Directions:
Step 1. Wash the cod meat. Then, sprinkle with salt and white pepper. Next, cover it with corn flour and set aside for later.
Step 2. Heat up some oil in a pan and use it to fry the cod fish until it is golden brown. Then, take the fish out and set it aside for now.
Step 3. Pour the shallot sauce in to a pan. Then, use it to sauté the onions and bell peppers until they turn fragrant.
Step 4. Pour the sautéed onions and peppers on the cod. The dish is now ready.
4.Fried Provençal Cod
Ingredients:
1 piece of Cod
2 slices of Trumpet Mushroom
1 shallot
1/3 of Sliced Onion
3 pieces of Garlic Slices
Seasoning:
1 teaspoon Provencal Spices
Black pepper
A pinch of salt
1 teaspoon of Sesame Oil
1 tablespoon of Rice Wine
Directions:
Step 1. Wash the cod.
Step 2. Heat up a moderate amount of cooking oil in a pan and use it to fry the cod. When the cod is fried, take it out and place it on a plate.
Step 3. Add the remaining ingredients into the same pan and sauté them over medium heat.
Step 4. When the ingredients turned fragrant, pour them over the cod and the dish is ready to be served.
5.Steamed Cod
Ingredients:
250 g of Cod
10 g of Sliced Ginger
10 g of Scallions
Coriander
Shredded Spring Onion
Shredded Chilies
Seasoning:
A – 1 tablespoon of rice wine, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
B – 1/4 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of fresh dew, 1/2 tablespoon of light soy sauce
Directions:
Step 1. Place the ginger slices and spring onion slices on a dish. Then, place the cod fish on to the plate and drizzle it with rice wine.
Step 2. Place the dish into a steamer and steam it for about 7 minutes until the fish is cooked. Then, take it out and set aside for later.
Step 3. Heat up the pan and add seasoning B in. Bring them to a boil. When the ingredients are boiling, add some sesame oil in and mix well.
Step 4. Pour the cooked seasoning on the fish. Next, sprinkle it with coriander, ginger, green onion, and chili. The cod is now ready to be served.
