1.Braised Radish



1 White Radish

A few Red Peppers

A few cloves of Garlic



1.Wash and cut the white radish into thin slices.


2 Place the white radish in a basin and marinate it with a spoonful of salt for 30 minutes.


3 Dry off the water on the radish by hand.


4 Add 1 tablespoon of sugar into the radishes and marinate for 30 minutes.


5 Add 8 tablespoons of light soy sauce, 3 tablespoons of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of sugar on the radishes. Then, add the red pepper and garlic slices. Mix evenly.


6  Next, cover the dish with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator. Marinate the dish overnight. After that the dish is ready to be served.



2.Cold Cucumber Yuba

1 Soak the yuba. Then, split the yuba into sections and place them in a basin. Next, add a teaspoon of salt and pour an moderate amount of cold water.


2 Heat up a small amount of oil in the pan. Then, use it to fry the peanuts over a low heat, and then remove the oil.


3 After the yuba is soaked soft, remove it from the water and cut it into small pieces.


4 Boil a pot with a moderate amount of water. Then, blanch the yuba in the pot. After that, soak the yuba in cold water.


5 Chop the cucumber, mince the garlic and cut the coriander into sections. Set them aside for later.


6 Add the cut cucumber, dried yuba, fried peanuts, coriander, minced garlic, and a spoonful of chili powder into a large pot.


7 Heat up some cooking oil in a separate pan. Then, add the dried chilies in and fry them until they become fragrant.


8 Miix the fried chili and oil with the other ingredients in the pot.


9 Then, add half a tablespoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoon of chicken essence and a moderate amount of sesame oil. Mix well and the dish is ready to be served.



3.Dried and Spicy Radish



2 White Radishes

Chili Powder



1 Wash the white radish and cut it into strips. 


2 Place the white radish strips in a basin and add 3-4 tablespoons of salt. Mix well and marinate them for 1 hour. 


3 After the radish is marinated, dry off the excess water on the radish.


5 Rinse the dried radishes with water and then drain off the water. Next, coat the radishes with 3 tablespoons of sugar.


6 Mix well and leave the radish to dry.


7 Add half a spoon of dark soy sauce, 1 spoon of light soy sauce and chili powder. Mix well and marinate the radish overnight while covered in plastic wrap. After that the radishes are ready to be served



4.Minced Meat and Capers



200g of Lean Pork

300g of Capers

Chopped Pepper




1 Mince the lean meat, capers and garlic. Then, set them aside.


2 Add an appropriate amount of oil in a pot. Then, add in the minced meat and stir-fry until it turns white.


3 To get chili oil, place the chopped peppers in the pot and stir fry well until it becomes aromatic.


4 Add the capers into the pot and stir-fry well.


5 Next, add two tablespoons of light soy sauce, one teaspoon of sugar and one teaspoon of chicken essence. When the dish is cooked, pour some sesame oil and the dish is ready to be served.



5.Garlic Cabbage



1 small Cabbage




1 Wash the cabbage and cut into sections; Mince the garlic.


2 Heat up a moderate amount of oil in the pan. Then, add minced garlic and stir fry until it becomes fragrant.


3 Add the cabbage into the pot and stir-fry evenly.


4 When the cabbage is almost cooked, add salt and stir evenly. After that, the dish is now ready to be served.



6.Cabbage with Hot Oil Dressing

Dried Chili Powder 




1. Clean the cabbage and cut it into strips


2.Pour a moderate amount of water in a pot and bring it to a boil. Next, blanch the cabbage for 1-2 minutes using the boiling water. After that, take it out and set it aside.


3. Add the minced garlic and dried chili powder into the pot.


4. Pour an appropriate amount of oil into the pot and cook it until smokes start to appear.


5.Add the dried chili powder and minced garlic into the hot oil.


6. Then, add 1 tablespoon of salt, half a tablespoon of chicken essence, 3 tablespoons of white vinegar and a small amount of sesame oil. Mix well.


7. Place the cooked dish on a plate and sprinkle chopped green onions on top. The dish is now ready to be served.
