1.Fried Onion Meatloaf
Ingredients:
300 g of Ground Pork
100 g of Minced Onion
15 g of Chopped Spring Onion
10 g of Minced Ginger
Seasoning:
1/2 teaspoon of Salt, 1 tablespoon of Fine Sugar, 1/6 teaspoon of Black Pepper, 1 tablespoon of Rice Wine, 1 tablespoon Corn Starch and 3 tablespoons of tomato paste
Directions:
Step 1. Put the ground pork meat in a steel bowl. Next, add salt and stir well until becomes sticky.
Step 2. Add onion, spring onion and ginger into the bowl of meat. Next, mix well before adding in sugar, black pepper, rice wine and corn starch. Then, stir until they mixed evenly together.
Step 3. Divide the pork into 8 equal portions and shape them into a round cake.
Step 4. Prepare a pan with 2 tablespoon of oil and place the meatloaf into the pan. Next, cover the pan with a lid and heat it over low flame until the meatloaf are slightly burnt.
Step 5. After frying, the meatloaf is ready to be served with tomato sauce.
2.Japanese Cold Shredded Onion
Ingredients:
1 onion
5g of Dried bonito flakes
Seasoning:
1 tablespoon of Japanese Soy Sauce
½ teaspoon of Lemon Juice
1 teaspoon pf Caster Sugar
1 tablespoon of cold water
½ teaspoon of Sesame Oil
Directions:
Step 1. Peel and shred the onion. Then, soak in ice water for about 3 minutes to make it crispier. Then, put it in a bowl and set aside for later.
Step 2. Mix all the seasoning ingredients together to make the sauce. When you are finish making the sauce, pour it on the onion shreds and sprinkle shredded bonito on top. The dish is ready to be served.
3.Onion Pumpkin Soup
Ingredients:
Half a Pumpkin
200g of Fresh Milk
20g of Whipped Cream
1/4 of Onion
A moderate amount of Pork.
1 moderate amount of Unsalted Butter.
Directions:
Step 1. Mince the meat. Then, cut the pumpkin into small pieces, and dice onion.
Step 2. Place the pumpkin pieces in an electric pot and steam it for 15 minutes.
Step 3. Heat up a pan with some oil and add the minced meat with the onion. Then, stir fry them.
Step 4. Pour the steamed pumpkin and onion minced meat into blender. Then, add the fresh milk and whipped cream. Blend well until everything turns to liquid.
Step 5. Pour the blended pumpkin soup into the pot. Boil the pumpkin soup with some filtered water and unsalted butter. Bring everything to a boil and the soup is ready to be served.
4.Borscht
Ingredients:
300 of Beef Ribs
A Tomato
½ an Onion
1/4 of Cabbage
A cup of Tomato Paste
8 cups of Water
A pinch of Salt
Directions:
Step 1. Wash the beef ribs with hot water and dice. Dice tomatoes, onions, and cabbage. Set them aside for later.
Step 2. Pre heat a pot with some oil. Then, add the diced onion and sauté until fragrant. Next, add the diced beef ribs and fry until it turns brown.
Step 3. Add the diced tomatoes, cabbage, tomato paste and water into the pot.
Step 4. Cover the pot with a lid and let it simmer for about 20 minutes. Then, add some salt and stir well. The soup is now ready to be served.
5.Japanese Butadon Pork
Ingredients:
Pork slices
Shredded Onion
Shallot
Egg
Salt
Japanese Kombu Soy Sauce
Directions:
Step 1. Pre heat a pan with some oil, Add the onions in and sauté until they turn soft.add salt
Step 2. Add pork slices in and stir fry it with Kombu soy sauce until fully cooked.
Step 3. Beat an egg in the pot and pour it into the pan. Stir the egg until it is cooked drench in the soy sauce.
Step 4. Finally, sprinkle some spring onion on top and the dish is ready to be served once you remove it from the pan.
