1.Steamed Cracker Cake


  • 250g Saltine Crackers
  • 5 Eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Condensed Milk
  • 150g Butter
  • 50g Corn Oil
  • 80g Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Milo


Step 1   Grind the Saltines cracker into powder.

Step 2   Beat the butter and sugar until it melts and turns into white mixture.

Step 3   Next, crack the eggs and add them in. Using a stirrer beat the eggs until they are evenly mixed together with the sugar and butter. Then, add the corn oil along with the condensed milk and mix them well. Now, pour the grind cracker powder

Step 4   Now, divide the batter into two portion. For the first portion, add in the Milo powder to make a chocolate batter (if the batter becomes too dry, add in additional corn oil). For the second portion, keep it with its original flavor.

Step 5   Add water into a steamer and allow it to boil.

Step 6   Coat a 7-inch square baking mold with some oil. Then, pour in about 100g of original flavour batter and spread it evenly with a spatula.

Step 7 Put the tray into the steamer and steam it in high temperature for about 5 to 7 minutes.

Step 8 Take the mold out and pour in the chocolate batter.  Then, spread it evenly and put it back into the steamer.

Step 9 Repeat step 6 to step 8 until you finish all your batter. However, the last layer should be allowed to steam for 20 minutes.

Step 10 After the cake is steamed, take the cake out of the mold and allow it to cool.



2.Saltines Cracker Layer Cake

  • 1 Pack Saltine Crackers
  • 1 Can Evaporated Milk
  • 5 Eggs
  • 5 Pieces Green Onions
  • 4 Sausages
  • 6 Crab Sticks
  • 1 can Ham Luncheon Meat
  • 4 Slices Cheddar Cheese



Step 1         : Chop the green onions into small pieces. Diced the sausages, crab sticks and ham.

Step 2         : Place the diced sausages, crab sticks and ham together. Then, mixed well until they are evenly spread apart.

Step 3         : Stir fry the green onions until it become sauté. Then, pour in all the diced meat and continue to fry them until they smell fragrant. Next, slightly seasoned them.

Step 4         : Beat the eggs. Then, soaked the crackers in the egg batter. Next, stack crackers into two layer while placing a small portion of fried meat on top of the second layer.

Step 5         : Put a slice of cheddar cheese between each layer

Step 6         : Once finish arranging all the ingredients. Pour the remaining egg batter all over the top layer of the cracker cake.

Step 7         : Lastly, steam the cake over high heat for 30 to 45 minutes until is cooked.

  • 300g Cream Cheese
  • 400g Smoked Salmon
  • Moderate amount of Strawberry Jam
  • Moderate amount of Saltine Crackers
  • Moderate amount of dried Italian spices
  • Moderate amount of Purple onion



Step 1   : Spread Cream Cheese on one side of the cracker. Then, spread a layer of strawberry jam on top of the cream cheese.

Step 2   : Place a generous amount of smoked on top of it. Next, garnish dried Italian spices and shred purple onion on top of it.



4.Cracker Croquettes.


  • 1 Kg Ground Meat
  • 10 slices Saltine Crackers (Crushed)
  • 1 Egg
  • 5 Onions (Chopped)
  • 1 Red Chili [Optional]
  • Half a carrot (Chopped)


  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 and ½ tablespoons Light Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Five-spice powder
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 4 tablespoons Corn Starch



Step 1   : Mix all the ingredients and seasonings together. Stir them until they are mixed evenly together until they start to stick to each other.

Step 2   : Roll the meat mixture into croquettes. Place them on a greased plate

Step 3   : Heat up some oil on a pan. Once the oil starts to boil, place the croquettes into the pan and fry them until they turn golden brown.


5.Fujian Saltine Cracker Fried Meatballs


  • 6 Pieces Saltines Crackers
  • 200g Minced Pork
  • Moderate amount of Soy Sauce
  • Moderate amount of Salt
  • A pinch of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Shallot oil + Fried Shallots
  • 1 teaspoon Corn Starch


Step 1   : Crush 6 pieces of cracker and set them aside

Step 2   : Mix the minced pork with soy sauce, salt, pepper, corn starch, shallot oil and fired shallots. Then add in the crushed crackers into the mix.

Step 3   : Let the meat marinated inside a refrigerator overnight

Step 4   : Roll the marinated meat into equally sized meatballs.

Fry the meat balls in a pan with oils until they become golden brown.
